To help ensure your pet has a safe and comfortable stay, please review and prepare the following items:
For All Pets:
- A written note detailing your pet’s routine, habits, and personality. Please include specific feeding instructions.
- Provide an adequate supply of food, treat, & bowls for the full length of the stay.
- Medications with clear, written instructions. If your pet takes more than one medication, please pack each in a separate, labeled container. (Pill containers work great).
- A leash in good condition (no tears or fraying), along with a harness or walking collar if used. (We do not recommend retractable leashes).
- Please remove any identification tags that include your name and address. Pets Are inn will attach a company ID tag during your pet’s stay.
- A limited selection of toys. We recommend sending no more than 2 to 4 toys.
- If they have a bed they like to sleep in or take naps, please send.
- Grooming tools, if your pet requires regular brushing or care.
- Crate or kennel, if your pet is used to one and finds comfort in it.
- An optional comfort item, such as a T-shirt or blanket with your scent, to help ease separation.
Additional Items for Cats:
- Litter, along with a litter pan and scoop, enough for the entire stay.
- A scratching post or box if your cat is not declawed. We strongly recommend trimming your cat’s front nails prior to boarding.
- If your cat is known to chew on plants, please provide cat grass or another safe alternative.
- Hairball medication, if used, with written instructions with dosage and frequency.
- A cat carrier. If you do not have one, please notify the Pets Are inn office in advance so we can assist you.
Please label all items clearly and pack them in a secure bag or container. If you have any questions as you prepare, we are happy to assist.
