It’s hard enough leaving your pet behind with caregivers when you go on vacation or an extended business trip. But what can you do when your pet is on medication or suffers from chronic problems that require special care? Mike Hastings, owner of Pets Are Inn in Hampton Falls, NH, recently received such a request for Seamus, a young shepherd mix with a severe neurological disorder. Seamus’ family had already booked a nonrefundable vacation when their one-year-old dog became very ill. At a loss as to what to do, they were put in touch with Hastings while at their vet’s office. Pets Are Inn, a non-traditional boarding service, provides a loving, caring host family that is matched to your pet’s specific needs, including medications, feeding schedules, etc.. Hastings quickly made the needed arrangements, picked up Seamus and delivered him well-cared for and happy when the family returned.

I just wanted to thank you for setting up our cat A's holiday boarding, and please do thank Allison and her family for us as well! We read her report card, which was so sweet, and we really appreciate the pictures & the ornament. Apollo has been doing well back home, though his meows seem to have changed a bit. We're certain the pet friends in Allison's home taught him some new languages/phrases ;)
Anyway, he seems much less distressed than the previous time when we boarded him in a kennel setting. That's just great. Thanks again for all your services! Hope 2012 goes well for you all.
