Pets Are Inn is for Us!

Hi, I am Jim Platt. My wife, Ann, and I are owners of Pets Are Inn. I would like to share with you why Ann and I decided to purchase a Pets Are Inn franchise and eventually the Pets Are Inn system.

First, we were at a stage in our lives where we did not want to work for the "big corporation" ... and we knew that there was a void in the market place for pet care. There are many pet owners like ourselves who do not consider their pets to be pets .... they are children/people disguised... in our case.... as dogs. When we discovered Pets Are Inn, we found a system/company that was concerned about the emotional as well as the physical well being of pets. We could go away on vacation or a business trip and have the peace of mind that Maia would be taken care of ... and that ... she would enjoy her time away from home!

We saw that look in Maia's (a beautiful and loving miniature schnauzer) eyes wondering what was happening when we would be packing our bags ... and ... when it came time to leave .... wanting to go with us .... "take me" ... "pleeease". Without friends and relatives close by to take care of Maia, we were always trying to find someone to care for her when we went away on a trip. There was my best buddy, Norm, who would care for Maia ... but was a "neat nick". We still to this day hear of times when Maia made a "mistake" at his house. Then there were the trips to Ann's parents ... 45 minutes one way. Yes, we know what it is like to impose on friends and relatives.

Then we discovered Pets Are Inn, a company that had a network of "Host Families" that care for pets. Maia would go to a home where she would be taken care of .... "just like one of the family". Pets Are Inn provided convenient round trip pickup and delivery service.

A Pets Are Inn representative came to our home to meet and discuss how Maia would be cared for. She did an extensive interview to find out about her personality and to see if she had any special needs ... you know, exercise times and any medication that she may be taking. They showed us a video, "Bessie's Tail", that told the Pets Are Inn story. The Pets Are Inn representative put us at ease immediately when she said that she had a great family that would enjoy taking care of Maia.

On a subsequent trip, Pets Are Inn arranged for Maia's care. She came home .... a "happy puppy"! Now when she sees our bags packed, she gets excited .... not with those "can I go with you eyes" .... but "when is Pets Are Inn coming"!

You can see why we are sold on Pets Are Inn and why we decided to purchase a Pets Are Inn franchise and eventually the system.
